| ref: 1278 Grave location: B C-1 SANDROVITCH, Etta Died Wednesday 7th July 1982, aged 68 Tammuz, 5742 Additional Information From Gillian Freed: ETTA SANDROVITCH was born in London on 4th November 1914 and died of Breast Cancer on 7th July 1982 at Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow, Middlesex. She was the eldest of three children and the only daughter of Joseph [Joe] & Dora. Her brothers Mark Sandrove and Jack Sandrovitch both also predeceased her. She lived with her parents throughout her lifetime, initially pursuing a career as a Milliner, but latterly looking after her Father and tending house for the family and providing childcare for her beloved niece and nephew Gillian and Howard. Hetty was a keen supporter of Leicester Synagogue's women's groups and a member of Leicester's WIZO for many years. Following the death of her Father, the family were finally able to arrange for her transfer to local authority accommodation in Harrow in 1980, where she spent the last year of her last year of her life making new friends in the sheltered accommodation and enjoyed much more frequent contact with her Sister-in-Law Phyllis and the rest of the Sandrove family including her first great nephew and niece Further Information | click for large image |
